My Story

The idea of guiding did not grow in me as a sudden desire. Coming from a small village in Cuba, nature was always part of my daily life. But everything started some 20 years ago when I worked as an entertainer and tour guide for a Spanish company at a resort in Cuba. Being a language teacher by profession, with a keen interest in history and cultures, I have discovered that I have great satisfaction showing others the beauty and richness of the places around me. I only feel satisfied when my clients have had a memorable experience and only wish they’d stay longer! Having guided families and groups to different destinations across the globe in different types of trips. I have chosen to set foot in our beautiful and unique Quebec City region where I have lived for the past 20 years. The many attractions, being its friendly locals, the uniqueness of its language, a rich cultural background, a well-renowned cuisine and so many natural wonders that make our province such a special place, make it a must share with our visitors.

AlaSi is a combination of letters that mean a lot to me and to those who inspired this project. First, it combines the first letters of the names of dear friends, also passionate about traveling and discovering, who once stood up and fought to be listened to, who persevered and ended up taking control of their wishes and destiny, because no one else would have done it for them.

The letters also combined means in Spanish, my mother tongue, that we can give ourselves wings to fly, to explore and learn in every experience we live. That we are the only ones deciding if we live fulfilled lives or not.

My journey started years ago when I worked as a tour guide and entertainer for a Spanish company at a resort in my native country, Cuba. Since then, I have guided families and groups to different destinations across the globe and showcase the beautiful and unique Québec City region, a place I have called home for the past 20 years. I am a licensed professional tour guide and pride myself on my ability to add personal touches to every tour I conduct. It is extremely important to me that my guests return home with experiences to remember. I offer a variety of tours for individuals and small groups. I wish to give you a unique experience and make you fall in love with Québec forever!
